The Dunlop ‘Dracone’ Towed Flexible Barge (TFB) has been used successfully for over 30 years by the British Armed Forces to provide a quick and effective fuel supply service to beach head positions.

The Dunlop ‘Dracone’ TFB has an unrivalled and established operational success record in various campaigns around the world. At sea, the Dunlop ‘Dracone’ TFB offers a quick and efficient alternative to the ship-to-shore pipeline and can be vital in setting up beachhead positions. This towable flexible container can be used to transport a wide range of fuels in open sea conditions at speeds up to 10 knots.

The main body of the Dunlop ‘Dracone’ TFB is manufactured from high tenacity woven nylon coated with synthetic rubber polymers with high resistance of abrasion, sunlight, sea water and, of course, fuels being transported within the units. The moulded ends of the TFB are manufactured using composite technology, which is a key design feature of this unique product.

Used in conjunction with the Dunlop Collapsible Fuel Storage Containers, the ‘Dracone’ TFB is an ideal addition to a total package of tactical fuel handling equipment involving supplies from sea positions where rapid deployment and mobility are key issues.
